Do attendees see any platform fees at checkout?

Never. Attendees pay exactly the ticket price you set. The platform fee is deducted from your payout — it's invisible to buyers.

Can I sell tickets on the Free plan?

Yes. The Free plan includes Stripe payment processing at a 3% platform fee. As you grow, Starter (1%) and Pro (0.5%) reduce that fee significantly.

Can I use my own Stripe account?

Yes — and it's free to connect. Go to Org Settings → Payments and link your Stripe account. Once connected, all ticket revenue goes directly into your Stripe account at the moment of sale. CompleteEvent deducts only the plan platform fee (0.5%–3%) as a pass-through; the rest is yours immediately. No holding periods, no manual transfers.

What does the platform fee apply to?

The platform fee applies to all Stripe charges processed through the platform — ticket sales, donation add-ons, raffle ticket purchases, sponsorship package payments, and event shop orders. Free events and $0 transactions have no platform fee on any plan.

Can I switch plans or cancel any time?

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade through the billing dashboard. If you cancel, you keep full access until the end of your billing period, then drop to the Free plan. Your data is never deleted.

What does SMS cost? Is it included in the plan price?

SMS/RCS notifications are a Pro feature and require a Twilio account — you bring your own. CompleteEvent does not add a markup; you pay Twilio directly at their standard rates. Costs vary by country: roughly $0.008/message in the US and Canada, $0.04 in the UK, and $0.07–$0.10 in most of Europe. SMS is available in the US, Canada, UK, Europe, Australia, and most of Latin America. Coverage is limited in parts of Asia and Africa. Do you offer discounts for nonprofits or annual billing?

Annual billing saves 2 months (roughly 16%). Nonprofits and educational organizations get 20% off all paid plans. Toggle the 'Nonprofit / Education' option on the plan cards above to see your pricing. The discount is applied at checkout when you self-certify — we verify your status after the fact. No waiting period, no paperwork required upfront.
