Speaker and Planner Disclosures

Collect CE/CME financial-relationship disclosures from speakers, planners, and reviewers via private links. Track mitigation, log commercial support, show disclosures to learners, and export your accreditation file.

Overview

For CE and CME programs, everyone who controls content — speakers, planners, and reviewers — must declare relevant financial relationships, and any identified conflict must be mitigated before the activity. CompleteEvent collects those declarations through private links, tracks mitigation, records commercial support, shows the results to learners, and generates the program-book and audit files your accreditation file needs. Disclosures are opt-in per event and default to off.

Turn on disclosures for an event

  1. Open your event and go to Settings. Enable the disclosure requirement for the event.
  2. A Disclosures item appears in your Program navigation. Open it to manage the whole workflow.

Disclosures stay dormant unless the event both requires them and issues credit — turning the setting off removes the workflow without deleting anything.

The disclosure portal and tokens

Each speaker, planner, and reviewer receives a private link (a unique token) to their own disclosure form — no account required. On the form they declare whether they have relevant financial relationships and, if so, the details.

  1. From Program → Disclosures, add the people who need to disclose and send their links.
  2. Each person opens their link, completes the declaration, and submits. Their status updates in your dashboard from pending to submitted.

Reviewing declarations and mitigation

Open any submitted disclosure to review it. When a relationship represents a conflict of interest, record the mitigation steps taken — the review, the resolution, and who signed off. Mitigation status is tracked per person so you can see at a glance which conflicts are resolved before the activity runs.

Commercial-support ledger

Record commercial support (grants and in-kind support) in the ledger attached to the event. This keeps the money trail alongside the disclosures it relates to, ready for your program book and audit export.

What learners see

Learners see the resulting disclosures on a public disclosure page for the event, so participants know the financial relationships behind the content before they engage with it. Only the disclosed relationships are shown — not internal mitigation notes.

Program-book PDF and audit export

  • Program-book PDF — a formatted disclosure summary suitable for inclusion in your printed or digital program.
  • Audit-export ZIP — the full record (declarations, mitigation, and commercial support) packaged for your accreditation file.

Reminders

People who have not completed their disclosure are sent automated reminders, so you are not chasing declarations by hand before the deadline.
