Simple View — Hiding Advanced Navigation Tabs
Toggle Simple view to hide Program, Promote, and Fundraising tabs so the dashboard shows only what you need for everyday events. Saves in your browser and can be changed at any time.
Overview
The event dashboard has a Simple view toggle in the top-right corner of every event. When enabled, it hides the advanced navigation tabs — Program, Promote, and Fundraising — leaving only the sections most organizers need every day: Overview, Registrations, Check-in, Setup, Reports, and Settings.
Simple view is ideal for organizers running straightforward events (meetups, luncheons, workshops) who don't need sessions, broadcast tools, or fundraising features. It reduces visual noise without removing any functionality — the tabs are just hidden, not disabled.
Enabling and Disabling
- Open any event in your dashboard.
- In the top-right header area, click Simple view. The advanced tabs disappear immediately.
- To restore all tabs, click Show all tabs in the same location.
Persistence
The preference is saved in your browser's local storage. It persists across page refreshes and applies to all events on that browser. It does not sync across devices or browsers.
Automatic Simple View
If you select Simple RSVP in the onboarding wizard when creating a new event, Simple view is enabled automatically. You can turn it off at any time using the toggle.
Accessing Hidden Features
While Simple view is active, you can still access Program, Promote, and Fundraising by clicking Show all tabs. Alternatively, you can navigate directly to any feature using the URL — e.g. /dashboard/org/[orgId]/events/[eventId]/sessions.
