Analysen und Berichte
Analysedashboard verstehen: Anmeldetrends, UTM-Tracking, Sessionsbewertungen und Datenexport.
The Analytics Dashboard
Each event has a dedicated analytics dashboard that gives you a real-time view of registration activity, attendee behaviour, and marketing performance. Access it by opening your event and clicking the Analytics tab.
Key Metrics Overview
The top of the analytics page shows four summary cards:
- Total registrations — all registrations ever created for the event, including cancelled registrations.
- Active registrations — current registrations excluding cancellations. This is the number that drives your check-in count.
- Checked in — number of active registrants who have been checked in. During the event, this number updates in real time.
- Revenue — total ticket revenue collected (paid events only), net of cancelled registrations.
Registration Trend Chart
The 30-day registration chart shows daily registration counts for the past 30 days. Use this chart to understand your registration velocity and identify the impact of specific promotions:
- A spike after an email send indicates your list is engaged.
- A consistent slow trickle followed by a spike near the deadline is normal behaviour — many people register at the last minute.
- A plateau in registrations mid-campaign may indicate you have exhausted your immediate audience and need new channels.
UTM Tracking
CompleteEvent automatically captures UTM parameters from registration URLs. When someone clicks a link to your registration page with UTM parameters (e.g., ?utm_source=newsletter&utm_campaign=spring2026), the source is recorded with their registration.
The UTM breakdown in the analytics tab shows:
- utm_source — where the traffic came from (newsletter, twitter, partner).
- utm_medium — the marketing medium (email, cpc, social).
- utm_campaign — the specific campaign name.
Registrations without UTM parameters are grouped as “Direct / Unknown”. To maximize UTM coverage, add UTM parameters to every link you share — in email campaigns, social posts, and partner placements.
Tip: Use consistent naming conventions for UTM parameters across your campaigns. For example, always use lowercase (
utm_source=newsletternotutm_source=Newsletter) — UTM values are case-sensitive and inconsistencies create separate entries in your report.
Session Ratings
The Attendee Feedback section of your analytics shows session ratings from the post-event survey — 1–5 stars and optional comments collected after the event ends. It displays:
- Average rating per session, sorted from highest to lowest.
- Number of ratings each session received.
- Written comments, displayed below each session's rating card.
Live Session Feedback
If you have enabled Live Session Feedback in event settings, a separate Live Session Feedback section appears in analytics. It shows feedback collected during the event — while sessions are still running — and updates in real time as responses come in. The section displays:
- Average rating, response count, and comment count per session.
- A Recent Comments panel showing the latest written comments across all sessions.
Live feedback and post-event survey ratings are tracked separately so you can see which responses came in during the event versus after.
See Live Session Feedback for setup instructions.
Org-Level Analytics
Your organization dashboard shows aggregate statistics across all events:
- Total events (all time)
- Total registrations (all time)
- Upcoming events and their current registration counts
These figures help you track the growth of your organization's event programme over time. The org dashboard does not currently aggregate revenue across events — check each paid event's analytics individually for revenue figures.
Exporting Data
You can export the full attendee list (including all registration fields and check-in status) from the Registrations tab as a CSV. The analytics dashboard itself does not have a direct export button for the charts, but all underlying data is included in the CSV export.
For GDPR data export requests from specific attendees, see the Security and Compliance article.
Real-Time Updates During the Event
During your event, the analytics dashboard and check-in counts update without requiring a page refresh. Keep the analytics tab open on a second screen or tablet for a live view of check-in progress. The checked-in count and active registration count are both live.
