Pricing & fees

Can I sell tickets on the Free plan?

Yes. Free includes Stripe payment processing at a 3% platform fee. Starter drops it to 1%, Pro to 0.5%. Attendees never see the fee — it's deducted from your payout automatically.

What's the platform fee?

When you process a paid transaction through CompleteEvent — tickets, donations, raffle purchases, sponsorships, or shop orders — we charge a small percentage: 3% on Free, 1% on Starter, 0.5% on Pro. This is separate from Stripe's standard payment processing fee (2.9% + 30¢ per transaction). Free events and $0 transactions are never charged a platform fee.

When does the platform fee not apply?

Free events — any event with $0 transactions — have no platform fee on any plan. If you collect payment outside CompleteEvent and use free registration, no fee applies. Enterprise customers pay 0%.

Do nonprofits get a discount?

Yes. Verified nonprofits receive 20% off all paid plans. Contact us at hello@completeevent.app with your EIN or charity registration number to apply.

Is there a contract or annual commitment?

No contracts, no annual commitments. You can cancel your subscription at any time. If you cancel, you drop to the Free plan — nothing is deleted.

What happens to my events if I cancel my subscription?

Nothing is deleted. You drop to the Free plan features. All your data stays intact and you can upgrade again whenever you need to.

Attendee experience

Do attendees need to create an account or download an app?

It depends on your event. Every attendee gets a unique link in their confirmation email — QR code, schedule, announcements, and networking all work in any mobile browser with no download needed. For simpler events, that's all they need. For complex multi-track conferences, you can encourage attendees to use the CompleteEvent app for a richer experience. Their choice, your recommendation.

Can attendees build a personal schedule?

Yes. On events with sessions, attendees can sign up for individual sessions and the app builds them a personal agenda. They can view it from their unique attendee link at any time.

How do attendees receive announcements?

You can broadcast real-time announcements to all registered attendees. Messages appear as push notifications in the app and in their attendee link experience — no email required.

Can attendees network with each other?

Yes. CompleteEvent includes an attendee directory and networking features so attendees can find and connect with each other during the event.

Sessions & scheduling

Can I run a multi-track conference?

Yes. CompleteEvent supports multi-track session scheduling with time slots, rooms, and speaker assignments. Attendees can sign up for individual sessions and build their own personal agenda.

Does CompleteEvent support speaker submissions (call for abstracts)?

Yes. You can open a call for abstracts, collect speaker proposals, score and review submissions, and accept or decline — all within CompleteEvent. No third-party tool needed.

Can I collect session feedback?

Yes. A session feedback button appears for attendees at the halfway point of each session, so you capture ratings while the content is still fresh. Post-event surveys collect the overall experience after the event ends.

Can speakers manage their own session details?

Yes. Accepted speakers can be given access to update their bio, headshot, and session description directly — without you doing it manually.

Check-in

How does QR check-in work?

Every attendee receives a unique QR code in their confirmation email and in their attendee link. Any staff member with a smartphone can scan it using the CompleteEvent check-in view — no dedicated hardware, no app required for the scanner.

Can I run a self-service kiosk check-in?

Yes. CompleteEvent has a kiosk mode that attendees can use to check themselves in at a shared device. Great for conferences and events with long check-in queues.

Can I see live check-in numbers during the event?

Yes. Your event dashboard updates in real time — you can see how many attendees have checked in versus registered, broken down by ticket type, at any point during the event.

Data & integrations

Can I migrate from Eventbrite or a spreadsheet?

Yes. Import existing attendee lists via CSV on any plan. Your data is always exportable: registrations, sessions, surveys, and finances — at any time.

Who owns my attendee data?

You do. CompleteEvent never uses your attendee data for advertising, resale, or discovery. There is no algorithm-driven event feed that competes with your audience. Your registrant list is yours.

Does CompleteEvent integrate with Stripe?

Yes. CompleteEvent uses Stripe Connect, which means ticket revenue flows directly into your own Stripe account at the moment of sale. CompleteEvent never holds your money.

Can I use a custom domain for my event pages?

Yes, on the Pro plan. You can serve your event registration page from your own domain (e.g., events.yourorganization.org) for a fully branded experience.

Is support included?

Yes. Email support is available on all plans. Pro includes priority support. We also offer hands-on event build-out and configuration services for teams that want help getting set up — contact hello@completeevent.app.

Do you offer setup help for large events?

Yes. For conferences, galas, or complex multi-day events, we offer paid setup services where we configure your event, sessions, and registration form for you. Contact us to discuss.
