AI Content Translations
Translate your event title, description, and session content into French, Spanish, German, Dutch, Portuguese, and Japanese using AI. Pro plan includes 50 credits per month.
Overview
The AI Translations feature translates your event title, description, and session titles and descriptions into other languages using AI. Translated content is shown to attendees who visit your event page in a supported locale.
AI Translations is available on the Pro plan (50 credits per month) and Enterprise plan (unlimited credits). Credits reset on the first of each month and are shared across all events in your organization.
Supported Languages
Translations can be generated into any of the following languages:
- French
- Spanish
- German
- Dutch
- Portuguese (Brazil)
- Japanese
Translating Your Event
Go to your event dashboard and navigate to Content → Translations. The page has two sections: the event itself and individual sessions.
Event title and description
- Under Event, you will see a language picker with the six supported languages.
- Languages that already have a translation show a checkmark (✓). Select one or more languages you want to translate or re-translate.
- Click Translate. The button shows how many credits will be used — one credit per language selected.
- Translations appear below the language picker when complete. Each translated title is shown alongside the target language name and an AI badge.
Session titles and descriptions
Each session in your event appears as its own card in the Sessions section. The process is the same as for the event: select languages, click Translate. Sessions are translated one at a time — one credit per language per session.
Credit Usage
One credit = one language translation for one item (the event or a single session). Translating the event into three languages uses three credits. Translating five sessions into two languages each uses ten credits.
Re-translating an item that already has a translation also uses a credit — the new translation overwrites the old one.
Your remaining credits for the month are shown at the top of the Translations page. The Translate button is disabled if you do not have enough credits for the selected languages.
How Translations Are Displayed
CompleteEvent serves translated content to attendees automatically based on their locale. Attendees browsing your event page in French (e.g., via the /fr/ URL prefix or their browser language setting) see the French title and description if a translation exists. If no translation exists for their locale, the original content is shown.
Session translations appear in the session browser and personal schedule pages when viewed in a supported locale.
Tips
- Translate your event title and description first — those appear on the public event page and in search previews. Session translations matter most for conferences with international audiences.
- If you update your event title or description after translating, re-translate to keep the translations current. The page shows the current translated title alongside the source so you can spot stale entries.
- Credits are shared across all events in your org. If you have multiple events, plan your credit usage accordingly, especially near the end of the month.
- AI translations are accurate for standard event content. Review translations for specialized terminology, proper nouns, or technical subject matter before publishing.
