Overview

Sponsor Lead Capture gives your exhibitors and sponsors a mobile-optimized portal where they can scan attendee QR codes and collect leads with notes — no app download required. All leads are visible in your event dashboard and exportable as CSV. Available on Pro plans.

Setting Up Sponsor Access

1. Go to Promote → Sponsor Access in your event dashboard.
2. Click Add sponsor and enter the sponsor or exhibitor's name (e.g., "Acme Corp — Booth 14").
3. CompleteEvent generates a unique access link for that sponsor. Share it with your sponsor's booth staff — the link opens the lead capture portal directly, no login needed.
4. Repeat for each sponsor or exhibitor you want to give lead access to.

Each sponsor gets their own isolated portal — they can only see the leads they've scanned themselves, not leads captured by other sponsors.

Scanning Leads at the Booth

When a booth staffer opens their sponsor portal link, they see a simple scan interface:

1. When an attendee visits the booth, have them open their ticket QR code (from their confirmation email or the CompleteEvent ticket page).
2. The booth staffer either scans the QR code with a hardware barcode scanner (connected via USB or Bluetooth to a tablet) or manually types the attendee's confirmation code into the input field.
3. CompleteEvent looks up the attendee and displays their name, company, and job title with a success animation.
4. Optionally add a note (e.g., "Interested in enterprise plan, follow up Tuesday") before confirming the lead.

The portal is designed for tablets — a full-screen view with large tap targets. It works on any device with a browser.

Viewing and Exporting Leads

Go to Promote → Sponsor Leads in your event dashboard to see all leads captured across all sponsors. You can filter by sponsor name and see each lead's attendee details, scan timestamp, and any notes the sponsor added.

Click Export CSV to download a spreadsheet with columns: Sponsor Name, First Name, Last Name, Email, Company, Job Title, Notes, and Scanned At. You can share individual sponsor exports with each exhibitor after the event.

Duplicate Scans

Each attendee can only be captured once per sponsor. If a booth staffer accidentally scans the same QR code twice, the second scan is silently ignored — the lead is not duplicated.

Revoking Access

To revoke a sponsor's portal access, go to Promote → Sponsor Access and delete their token. The link immediately stops working. Leads already captured are preserved and still visible in the Sponsor Leads dashboard.
