Automatic Schedule Builder
Auto-place your sessions into rooms and time slots. The builder keeps each track in one room, avoids double-booking presenters, respects room capacity, and prioritizes popular sessions — then you fine-tune on the grid.
Overview
The schedule builder generates a draft agenda for a multi-track event, then places your sessions into rooms and time slots automatically. It keeps each track in one room, never double-books a presenter, and respects room capacity — the constraints that make a multi-track schedule tedious to build by hand. You review the draft, apply it, and fine-tune on the grid.
The schedule builder is a Pro feature.
Before you start
- Set the event start and end dates — the builder needs them to lay out days.
- Create your rooms and tracks, and add the sessions you want placed.
Build a draft
- Open the Schedule grid and choose Schedule builder.
- Define your Time slots: the Days to schedule, when each day starts and ends, the Slot length in minutes, and any Breaks to keep clear.
- Set Track rooms so each track has a room to live in.
- Select Generate draft. The builder places as many sessions as the constraints allow.
Read the result
The draft splits into Placed sessions — shown with their room, day, and time — and any it Couldn't place, each with the reason, such as no room left for a track. Popular sessions are prioritized using session sign-up interest as a demand signal, so the sessions people want are the ones most likely to land a slot.
If sessions could not be placed, free up capacity — add a room to that track, lengthen the day, shorten slots, or move a break — and regenerate.
Apply and fine-tune
When the draft looks right, apply it. The placements land on the schedule grid, where you can drag sessions to adjust anything by hand. The builder gives you a sound starting point; the grid is where you finish. Use Back to grid to return without applying.
