Frequently asked questions

How much does CompleteEvent charge per ticket?

On paid plans (Starter at $15.20/mo with nonprofit discount, Pro at $39.20/mo), there are no platform fees per ticket. On the free plan, a 3% fee applies. Stripe payment processing (typically 2.9% + $0.30) applies on all platforms and all plans.

Can we collect donations during registration?

Yes. Enable the donation add-on under Fundraising in your event dashboard. A donation section appears on the registration form with preset amounts. Funds go directly to your connected Stripe account in real time.

Does CompleteEvent support silent auctions?

Yes. The silent auction feature is available on Pro. Create auction items with photos, starting bids, and bid increments. Bidders place bids through a public page. You close the auction and winners are notified automatically.

Can we sell tables (e.g., Table of 10) as a single ticket?

Yes. Create a ticket tier called 'Table of 10' at the appropriate price. The purchaser fills in one registration form. You can collect individual guest names and dietary restrictions as custom fields on the same form.

How do promo codes work for board members?

Create a promo code with a percentage or fixed-amount discount, set a usage limit, and share it privately with board members. Codes can be set to expire after a date or after a number of uses.

Do you support raffle tickets?

Yes. The raffle feature is available under Fundraising. Set the number of tickets, price per ticket, and drawing date. Supporters purchase tickets at registration or separately. You draw winners from the dashboard.
