Simple View — Hiding Advanced Navigation Tabs

Overview

Simple view hides the event dashboard tabs a straightforward event doesn't need. With it on, the sidebar shows Overview, Launch, Register, Check-in, Communications, Wrap-up, and Event Settings. It hides Plan (abstracts and speakers), Program (sessions, schedule, rooms, volunteers, auction, raffle, and shop), and Sponsors.

Use it for meetups, luncheons, workshops, and other events without sessions, speakers, or sponsors. Nothing is turned off. The tabs are only hidden from the sidebar.

Turning Simple View On and Off

1. Open any event in your dashboard.
2. In the event header, click Simple view. The Plan, Program, and Sponsors tabs disappear.
3. To bring them back, click Show all tabs in the same place.

Where the Setting Is Saved

The setting is saved in your browser and applies to every event you open in that browser. It doesn't sync to other devices or browsers, and it doesn't change what your teammates see.

Automatic Simple View

If you choose Simple RSVP when you set up your organization, Simple view starts on. Click Show all tabs at any time to turn it off.

Reaching Hidden Features

While Simple view is on, click Show all tabs to use a hidden feature. You can also go straight to a feature by its URL, for example /dashboard/org/[orgId]/events/[eventId]/sessions. Check-in staff accounts always see only the check-in tabs.
