Frequently asked questions
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan supports up to 100 attendees per event with full features — QR check-in, custom form fields, confirmation emails, and CSV export. Most smaller PTA events fit this limit.
Can we collect ticket payment for fundraising events?
Yes. Connect a Stripe account and collect payment at registration. On the free plan, a 3% platform fee applies per paid registration. On paid plans ($79.20/mo and up with the nonprofit discount), there are no platform fees — which makes a meaningful difference for fundraising events.
How do volunteers check in attendees?
Any volunteer with access to the event can open the check-in scanner in their phone's browser. No app download required. They scan the QR code from attendees' confirmation emails. One scan every 3–5 seconds.
Can parents register from their phone?
Yes. The registration page works on any device. Parents can register in under a minute from their phone without creating an account.
How do we share the registration link?
After creating your event, copy the registration link from your dashboard. Paste it into your school newsletter, ParentSquare post, email, or any other channel. You can also embed the registration form directly on your school's website.
Can we limit registration to our school community?
There is no built-in school directory integration, but you can use promo codes to restrict paid events, or collect school affiliation as a custom field. For private events, leave the link unpublished and share it only through school channels.
